After removing the deck structure to relieve weight, it was time to move her from the basement to the garage for the final stages of construction. And to find out if my exit strategy calculations were correct regarding clearances.
It turns out they were! I asked a few friends over anticipating a more complicated move than what actually happened.

First off, the boat was quite light. On flat ground she could easily be carried by just two people. Guiding her up the stairs needed a couple more. She fit through the scuttle with a few inches to spare each side. It was awkward, but went out quickly. In the end, all my concerns about this trip were unfounded. I had visions of needing to take the scuttle structure out, cutting the boat in half, or manhandling it for hours! It went out in minutes!
